It’s been 10 years since Teri Gilberg (better known as the Re-Modelista) made a life-changing business decision. After years of working in the contracting business with companies big and small, she decided she could offer a better value working on her own. Teri says, “I once coordinated contractors for one of the biggest ‘Big Box Stores.’ The same contractors we used often did their own work for customers at lower prices. I felt unsatisfied not giving customers the best bang for their buck. So I made the change. I became my own boss, with a very specific mission: I would provide quality, efficient, and budget-friendly remodeling to the people of Fort Bend County.”

The people of Fort Bend have responded. In 10 years, Teri counts more than 500 happy homeowners as clients. “All of my projects are turnkey,” explains Teri. “What that means is: Together we discuss the remodeling you want done, and I do the rest. I provide you with a turnkey cost and budget, and I coordinate contractors for you. I try my very best to have work happening at your house each day. That way we finish in the shortest time frame possible.” For clients that require assistance with the design elements of their remodel, Teri works closely with local vendors, including ProSource and Decor on a Dime. She also provides contractor discounts to online vendors for plumbing fixtures, light fixtures, and more. “At every step, there are opportunities to save money,” says Teri. “I’ll let you know about them!”
