That’s the goal of mother-of-two Dr. Shilpa Chandiwal, DDS at Healthy Teeth Pediatric Dentistry. “I really like working with young children,” says Dr. Shilpa, “It is so much fun to interact with them at this age…and I want to ease their fear, so they are comfortable asking me questions about brushing and taking care of their teeth.”

An honors graduate of Columbia University in New York, Dr. Shilpa’s passion for children is evident in all that she does. She chose advanced training in Pediatric Dentistry and her post-doctoral training took place at the Columbia University’s New York Presbyterian Hospital where she specialized in all areas of children’s dentistry. Together with Health Care International, she actively participated in an outreach program serving the underprivileged children in impoverished Jamaica. And of course she loves spending time with her husband Dr. Amito Chandiwal and her own children, four-year-old Abhiddyu and a five-month-old Anuvie.
