Cabo Dogs Set to Open on Hwy 6 in Missouri City

Cabo Dogs will open in March, as Hwy 6 gets yet another new exciting addition to their ever-growing lineup. Heather Pratt is a 2009 culinary graduate of the Art Institute of Houston. Today, she’s opening a restaurant together with Chris Morris. “We were both born and raised here in Missouri City,” says Heather. “We want to see this community thrive. Since Cabo is very near and dear to my heart, our concept is Cabo Dogs Lounge & Grill: an amazingly fun and very chill full service restaurant and bar. Our food is a fusion of Cabo’s best, Baja Mediteranean, and Tex-Mex. My chef and mentor, Juan Eumir, lives in Cabo and has assisted creating some exciting menu items, including four kinds of ceviche with cucumbers and chipotle, mix and match tacos with choices like shrimp, fish and short ribs, shrimp chorizo rolls, and axis deer quesadillas. Our delicious desserts include tres leches and lava cake. During crawfish season, we’ll be cooking them right on the patio 7 days a week.”

“Friday nights we’ll feature live music on the stage,” continues Chris. “And as for drinks, I’m an Old Fashioned guy…and I like my drinks made consistently and right every time. That’s why we’ve hired a mixologist to train our staff, and every menu item will be paired with a wine, a beer and a mixed drink. Our specialty drinks are named after our dogs, and we invite you to bring yours! Our patio is dog-friendly, and we’ve partnered with Texas Dog Treats to have all-natural treats for our furry customers. We’ve even trained our staff to watch your dog if you stop in alone and need to slip into the restroom!”
Cabo Dogs is a Midtown feel with a Missouri City price. Check them out at cabodogsloungeandgrill.com. “We are looking forward to being a huge part of this community,” says Heather.
