Celebrating a Dream Come True

What do Styx, the Coastal Prairie Quilt Guild, the Moscow Ballet, a Hot Sauce Festival, and Indian playback singer Kumar Sanu have in common with Katy native and country star Clint Black? They’re all part of the reason that the Stafford Centre is celebrating not only its Tenth Anniversary, but also over 3 millions guests. Eleven years ago, there was only a field where the Stafford Centre stands today. Then a handful of dreamers imagined the possibilities and changed the future of Stafford.

“This year as we celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Stafford Centre,” says Bryan Blaum, president of FMsquared, which oversees operations at the Stafford Centre, “we’re thankful the Mayor, City Council, and Stafford Economic Development Corporation had the wisdom and vision to build this multi-purpose venue to enhance the lives of its citizens and those from surrounding communities.”

What makes the Stafford Centre so unique? Not only is it a great place to see your favorite Classic Country and Rock Performances but it’s also a great place to hold your wedding, festival, business meeting or corporate gathering! Bryan says, “Our auditorium has a state-of-the-art audio and video system and seats 1,150, making it an intimate setting to enjoy your favorite artists. We also have 25,000 square feet of meeting, banquet and exposition space and over 28 acres of outdoor festival green space, which gives us the capacity to host events for every segment of our community and beyond. As part of our mission, we offer free parking and ticket prices don’t include hidden processing fees, convenience fees, or surcharges. We believe that coming together with your friends, family and colleagues should be easy…so we eliminated all the hassles that stand between you and a night to remember!”

You’ll want to visit the Stafford Centre’s website and Facebook page, because special anniversary events will be ongoing this year. Bryan says, “We’re proud to be the resident home of the Fort Bend Symphony Orchestra. What better way to celebrate Halloween than with spectacularly spooky music? Get in the spirit of the season with a costume contest and a chillingly good ‘Hauntcert’ by the Fort Bend Symphony Orchestra on Sunday, October 26 from 2:00pm – 3:30pm. We look forward to another decade of concerts, conventions and community events at the Stafford Centre!”
