AUSTIN, TX— Robyn Jacobson, Chief Operating Officer of Entrust, Inc. was recently appointed to serve on the Board of Directors of the Texas Association of Business, the state’s leading organization for employers.

Ms. Jacobson fills a three-year leadership position that began in January 2013.

In her role as the Chief Operating Officer of Entrust, Inc., Ms. Jacobson is responsible for the strategic planning and management of company-wide operations which define the quality standards of this TPA and Benefit Resource Group with corporate headquarters located in Houston, Texas.

Ms. Jacobson is also the Founder and CEO of EnCore Systems Professionals, Inc. Over the last decade, Ms. Jacobson has created a well-respected model for business, technical and compliance efficiency and is commonly a featured speaker before healthcare trade associations, national stop loss study groups, the Texas Bar Association and other professional organizations.

Ms. Jacobson is deeply involved in leading necessary changes in the reformation of the current healthcare system. Ms. Jacobson takes an active role in state and national policy issues with the aim of equalizing the opportunity for reasonable healthcare for all employers and consumers. Her professional, legislative and regulatory experience makes her a sought-after speaker on healthcare transparency, healthcare compliance, HIPAA privacy, self-funding and the Patient Protection & Affordable Care Act.

She has written a policy brief on a component of national healthcare transparency and has been asked to comment to regulators at the national level.

On a volunteer basis, Ms. Jacobson served as President of the Texas Association of Benefit Administrators (TABA) for 2010-2011 after eight years on the Board of Directors and was elected by her peers as 2012 Chairman of the national Society of Professional Benefit Administrators (SPBA).

As an honor to her contributions, Ms. Jacobson was appointed by the Governor of Texas to the Board of Directors of the Texas Institute of Health Care Quality & Efficiency in 2012.
