Kids Give Parents Time Out

Autism never takes a time out, but sometimes parents need to! Hope for Three, a Fort Bend-based nonprofit whose mission is to raise community awareness and provide financial and emotional support to families with children on the autism spectrum, hosts bi-monthly Parents’ Time Out sessions. Trained volunteers from Sugar Land Family Church keep kids busy, laughing and safe while parents or caregivers enjoy some much-needed downtime. In February, kids were treated to games, crafts, snacks and even face painting! Parents’ Time Out takes place six times annually; on the alternating months, Hope for Three’s Teen Huddle hosts Sibling Sessions, designed exclusively for kids who have a sibling on the autism spectrum.
