This year Lupita’s Mexican Restaurant is the only restaurant in Sugar Land or Missouri City to make Houston Chronicle food critic Alison Cook’s list of the Top 100 Restaurants in Houston. When it comes to classic family Tex Mex in a warm and welcoming setting (with so many tiny pinatas!)…nobody does it better! Jamie Garcia says, “My wife Lupe and our kids Rigo and Leo are blessed to serve the food we love to the community we call home. Our greatest compliment is having regular customers who’ve been with us since we first opened eleven years ago…but we love ‘new regulars,’ too!”
If your kids love the color-saturated zaniness of the movie, “The Book of Life” and you want food to put the Zing! in your day, it’s time for a visit to Lupita’s. Every online review, every newspaper critic, and every customer is blown away by the hand-made tortillas––thin, pliant, freckled brown from the griddle…and the size of a dinner plate! Lupe makes them by hand and uses a secret family recipe to create the marinade for her amazing beef fajitas. Other fan favorites include the green chicken enchiladas, the chile rellenos, and Mercy’s truly-superior nachos. Even the simple smoky charro beans are pure perfection!
Arrange a “Spirit Night” complete with chips-n-salsa, fajitas, quesadillas, tacos…and a share in the receipts to benefit your school. Just call Lupita’s 281-265-6556. Jaime says, “In November we’ll have a fundraiser to support the fight against diabetes…check our Facebook page or website for more information.
Call now for tamales or flan to-go for the holidays. Jaime says, “We’ll help you out with to-go orders or catering for a family event, a corporate meeting, or a big party. You send the invitations, we’ll handle the fajitas for fiestas of any size!”
“The kids and I are so proud that Lupe is getting recognized for her hard work and talent. Muchas gracias for all your support over the years…from our familia to yours!”
