Javed Meghani was 19 years old when he moved to this country. “I’ve been an entrepreneur for 35 years,” says Javed. “I began in jewelry, both retail and wholesale. In 2007, I moved into energy. My background is small business. Today, I’m chairman of three companies dedicated to providing one-stop-shop, concierge-type services to small businesses and individuals: Aria Energy Services led by my friend Steven Varghese, Meghani Insurance Group led by my son Arman Meghani, and MegaPay led by my son Aliakbar Meghani.”

Aria Energy Services is an energy concierge brokerage. “We have served Texans and other deregulated states, and we have more than 50 years combined experience in retail energy products and services,” explains Steven. “Leveraging our relationships and technology, we shop for and help you choose the best energy rates for your home or business. This is a seamless process from booking to getting a bill. You just receive a bill with a different logo on it…at a lower rate. There is no cost to the consumer to use our service.”

Meghani Insurance Group is your one-stop-shop for all lines of insurance, including business general liability, property and casualty, E&O insurance, group medical for employees, home, auto, and personal umbrella. Arman says, “We have access to more than 600 carriers. By leveraging our 35 years experience with the underwriters, we force carriers to compete for your business. We get you the highest coverage at value premiums. And we’re always available to answer questions and help with insurance claims.”

MegaPay is a credit card processing business. “We have relationships with some of the best in the industry,” says Aliakbar. “We help small businesses acquire the POS (point of sale) equipment necessary for their line of business, and then assist in getting the most competitive rate possible. We can provide training to a business’s employees on the equipment. MegaPay is available for upgrades and questions on an ongoing basis.”

Javed has lived in Sugar Land since 1991. Arman and Aliakbar both graduated from Clements High School. “Fort Bend County is our home,” says Javed. “We are here to serve the needs of our hometown small businesses and individuals. How can we help you?”
