COUNTDOWN TO THE 43RD ANNUAL HOUSTON INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL SPOTLIGHTING BRAZIL

Houston, Texas – Spotlighting Brazil this year, the Houston International Festival invites past and first time festival goers, to experience the taste and culture of Brazil and South America, at Festa!, the Official Launch Party.

The event will take place on Thursday, March 28 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., providing a snapshot of what’s to come at this year’s festival. The event will be held at a traditional Brazilian restaurant, Tradicao Brazilian Steakhouse, located at 12000 Southwest Freeway in Stafford.

Festa!, meaning “party,” will merge South American music and cuisine, for an evening of International celebration and anticipation for Houston’s largest celebration of food, culture and music. Appetizers for the night will include Brazil’s most popular snack, Cheese Bread,  oven-fresh golden puffs made with manioca flour blend and cheeses, Parmesan Pork, Brazilian Beef Pastels, Brazilian Shrimp Pastels and more. Desserts include Brazilian truffles Chocolate Brigadeiro, Coconut Brigadeiro, Mini Brazilian Flan and Mini Crème Brulee. Additionally, guests will enjoy a Brazilian Signature Cocktail, the Caipirinha, and an array of South American wines.

Houston’s premier Brazilian entertainment group, Morena Flor will mesmerize the crowd with their unique blend of Samba and Afro-Brazilian dances. Brazilian musician Lois Albez, an accomplished bassist, guitarist, and singer/songwriter whose diverse repertoire includes samba, bossa nova, and salsa will also serenade Festa! attendees.
