Fort Bend athletes Alexis and Sara Aguilar (Graduates of Travis High School), twin daughters of Ray and Diana Aguilar, are always on the go. After they received a softball scholarship, they needed the perfect vehicle to get them to Kilgore College in northeast Texas. Sara says, “My dad works at Classic Chevy, so he occasionally brought a car home for a test drive. One week he said, “Look, this is the Equinox. It gets great gas mileage…try it out!” We liked it, but we didn’t think anything else about it. Another night we were all going out to dinner and Dad said, “So, who wants to drive?” But he always drives, so Alexis and I said, “No thanks.” Then he said, “But that Equinox LT in the driveway is your car.” That’s when I said, “I’ll drive!”

“We had originally been thinking about a Cruze, but we needed something that could handle all our gear. When we moved into school, we drove ourselves, all our softball gear, microwave, and all our boxes in our new Equinox. We were both kinda amazed it all fit! Mom and Dad were on standby in case we needed them to bring anything that couldn’t make the first trip…but we did it all in one go. It was a smooth ride from here to the Longview area. Dad was right about the gas mileage, too! We can make the 3.5 hour drive to school on half a tank…plus he says the Equinox is really safe.”

“A lot of people at school don’t have a car, so Alexis and I can fit plenty of people in ours for trips to Walmart or out to eat. It’s the perfect ride for us!”

Proud papa Ray Aguilar says, “It doesn’t matter what age or gender you are, Classic treats everyone with respect. When Sara and Alexis first started looking for a car, they tried out the Cruze. The people at Classic treated them so well, not like a couple of kids…and they didn’t even know they were my daughters until I came to pick them up. I asked if I needed to do anything. My daughters told me, ‘No, the guys at Classic answered all our questions. We’ve got it all under control.’ That’s what every dad wants to hear!”
