Your Neighborhood Eatery

Clancy's Public HouseWhen you’re trying to feed the starving after a doubleheader Saturday baseball game, or catch a family meal before the dance recital and band concert that happen to be on the same night…you want a casual restaurant with a varied menu. And when you want to hang out with the guys to watch the game, or catch some live music on the one night you actually found a babysitter…you want a clean friendly place with a fantastic drink selection. Of course, it helps if all of these places are close to home!

Clancy’s Public House, conveniently located on FM 359 in Richmond, has both your casual family eats and your after dark covered. Owner Sean Bielstein says, “We really cater to our families during lunch and dinner. But come 10 or 11pm on Thursday, Friday, Saturday…we’re more of a pub until 2am.”

Clancy’s fantastic menu—complete with burgers, wings, steaks, sandwiches, both Irish and Texas “comfort food” (think Shepherd’s Pie and Chicken Fried Steak!) and of course a kids’ menu was recently voted “Best New Restaurant in Fort Bend County.” And the menu behind the bar is just as expansive. “We have more than 30 beers on tap and 60 or so different bottles of beer and cider…plus a full bar with high end liquors like Midleton Very Rare and Johnny Walker Blue. Thursday-Saturday, once the kids clear out, the place definitely takes on more of a pub atmosphere. The kitchen closes at 11 and the bar is open till 2…with live music on Friday and karaoke on Saturday. And with lots of televisions you’ll never miss your favorite sporting event.”

Happy Hour runs Monday-Friday, 3 till 7 (Monday-Thursday the kitchen happy hour includes $1 off all appetizers excluding bone-in wings,) and all day on Saturday…that’s great prices on your favorite drinks and food from 11am till 2am. Check out Clancy’s Public House on Facebook for daily specials, including special events like Pint Night featuring local breweries.

Aptly branded “an Irish heart, with a Texas soul,” Clancy’s Public House is sure to win over the appetites and hearts of both the “wee people” and the “not so wee.” Drop in anytime. Sláinte!
