A Couple on a Mission to Get You FIT

Partners in life and in business, Darren and Melissa Stewart are committed to helping their local community get fit, on each individual’s own terms.

“Whether you want to run collegiately, or just run with your grandchildren, we want to meet your purpose,” Darren says. “Everyone has a reason for wanting to get in shape—maybe it’s to get off medication or to run a marathon. We want to help you get there.”

Together, Melissa and Darren have 17 years of personal training experience. They are opening their own personal training studio, Mission-Driven Fitness, right here in Sugar Land to be close and convenient for their clientele.

“We wanted to create our own positive gym culture,” Darren explains. “No one should experience anxiety going to the gym.”

“People can be uncomfortable in a big-gym atmosphere,” Melissa continues. “We provide a solid, professional environment where everyone feels comfortable … somewhere people want to keep coming back to.”

The company name, Mission-Driven Fitness, was born from the couple’s own faith, along with the fact that they are always on an individual mission with each client. It is no coincidence that Mission-Driven starts with the same letters as Melissa and Darren. “Our mission is personal,” Darren says. “We offer our clients ‘Fitness with Purpose.’”

Impressively, Darren has run two of the Abbott World Marathon Majors in Sydney and just this month in Chicago. He plans to run in London next April and has hit the qualifying time for Boston. Melissa often travels with him to run in other marathon events. She ran the 5K in Australia and has run three half-marathons.

“We have clients in their teens and early 20s, all the way up to their 80s,” Melissa explains. “We create personal plans for each individual based on their individual fitness level and goals. Everyone has an idea of what they can do, but we’re here to help them really figure out where to begin and where to go from there.”

“We have to help you find your starting line before you run the race,” Darren continues. “We like to start slow and work our way up. We’ll help you find your purpose for getting fit—that’s why we call it ‘Fitness with Purpose.’”

Mission-Driven Fitness is planning a Grand Opening event in January. But you don’t have to wait until then to get started. Visit mission-drivenfitness.com to set up your free consultation session today.
