Sugar Plum Market 2026
For a quarter of a century, the Sugar Plum Market has been Fort Bend’s favorite holiday kick-off event! Celebrating its 25th year, this year’s event honors its past markets with a ‘Once Upon a Sugar Plum’ theme.
“We wanted to go big this year. Our whole theme honors our past themes and traditions,” says Lindsay Rolph, past-president of the Fort Bend Junior Service League (FBJSL), the market’s presenter.
Title Sponsor Memorial Hermann Sugar Land Hospital and Valet Sponsor Momentum BMW both return in 2026, helping to bring much-needed funds to local organizations in the Fort Bend community. Previous grants have contributed to educational programs, food pantries, assistance for women and children, literacy programs, and many other charitable needs. The 2025 Sugar Plum Market earned $317,000.
“We are excited to offer our event’s legacy … to remember what the Sugar Plum Market was founded upon,” says FBJSL’s current president, Michelle Vargas. “I don’t think we ever believed we’d be doing such a spectacular market 25 years later.”
The market will feature 10 trees, all with nods to themes from the past. The biggest tree honors the event’s 25th anniversary. “We’re bringing back the Fashion show this year.
It will honor our past co-chairs with a Legacy Walk and Walk of Fame,” Jacquetta Madgett, Sugar Plum Market Co-Chair, explains.
A 100% volunteer-run event, it takes more than 250 volunteers over 6,000 hours to put on the event.
Preview Night Celebration
Tickets are on sale now for the popular Preview Night Celebration for $100 per person. Guests will get a first look at vendor booths, catered bites, and a cash bar.
Fashion Show
“Our FBJSL members are our models for the show, and all of the clothes are provided by our featured vendors,” Michelle says. “The Fashion Show was how the Sugar Plum Market began. It all started with a Fashion Show and small market.”
General Market
This year’s vendor count sits at just over 108 booths. Vendors include: jewelry designers, boutiques, hand-crafted items, holiday items, local team gear, food vendors, and more! A cash bar and concessions, including bites from Chick-fil-A Sugar Land, will be available. And Saturday, the magic arives with Santa in attendance.
“The Fashion Show will sell out. The market tickets will sell out,” Michelle stresses. “We see up to 8,000 visitors at the market every year. Get your tickets today so you don’t miss out on the fun!”
