Cajun Heat in the Heart of Fort Bend

For Louis, the journey to opening LA Cajun Table began years ago at his in-laws’ longtime Houston-area restaurant, LA Crawfish Shack. It was there that he discovered his passion for Cajun cuisine and the creativity that comes with developing memorable dishes.

“My love for the art of food and developing new dishes started there,” Louis says. “I learned to think outside the box to develop new dishes and flavor profiles.”

Today, that passion shines through every item on the menu at LA Cajun Table, where traditional Louisiana flavors meet innovative twists and generous hospitality. Among the restaurant’s most popular dishes is yakemein, a beloved New Orleans comfort food. Other customer favorites include the red beans and rice, made with several varieties of pork, and distinctive seasonings that deliver rich, authentic flavor.

The menu also features a honey pineapple glazed salmon that combines tropical sweetness with bold Cajun spices. “Our blackened seasoning is unique and delicious,” Louis explains. Seafood lovers can enjoy a variety of boiling pot dishes, including crab, shrimp, mussels and crawfish. The crawfish are available Texas-style, served with sauce, or in the traditional Louisiana style without sauce.

Beyond the food, LA Cajun Table offers an atmosphere designed to make guests feel at home. Beautiful teal and gold wallpaper sets the tone for an upscale yet welcoming dining experience. Gold accents, light wood finishes, elegant chandeliers, and luxurious teal curtains create a space that is both stylish and comfortable.

“People tend to stay awhile,” Louis says. “It’s a comfortable, peaceful environment. We genuinely seek to provide a high level of service with great pricing and generous portions.”

Guests can enjoy a full menu of appetizers, salads, fried baskets, po-boys, and Louisiana classics. And no visit is complete without an order of warm, sweet beignets for dessert.

“My joy is seeing happy people,” Louis says. “I want to provide good food, a good experience and just take care of our community.”
