The Fort Bend Women’s Center invites you to get “Happy Together” with us as we gear up for the biggest annual music concert of the year: Music Fest 2014! This year we’re presenting the Happy Together Tour starring The Turtles with Flo & Eddie, Mark Farner formerly of Grand Funk Railroad, Chuck Negron formerly of Three Dog Night, Mitch Ryder & The Detroit Wheels and Gary Lewis & The Playboys! Women’s Center staff, sponsors, volunteers and attendees are excited about the big event and with all the hard work, it’s sure to be a rockin’ good time! Music Fest, graciously sponsored by Chevron, will be held on Friday, August 15th at the Stafford Centre at 8 p.m. The Pre-Event Sponsor Party kicks off at 6:30 p.m.

“There’s such a fun and exciting feeling in the air – it’s almost contagious,” says Vita Goodell, Executive Director. “People are pretty excited, plus it’s all for an excellent cause – helping the survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, and their children.”

Music Fest is an irresistible celebration of life’s simple pleasures: food, wine, and music. In the past, the event has included names such as ABBA, KC & the Sunshine Band, the Neville Brothers, Scott Gertner, George Benson, Joyce Cooling, Little Richard, Kenny G and Michael Bolton. This event raises over $90,000 annually to benefit the survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault served by the Women’s Center. All proceeds from the event will benefit the women and children survivors of domestic violence served by the Fort Bend County Women’s Center.
