Keith Barany: No laughing gas necessary!

“I firmly believe that if you really want to make a difference in the world,” says Dr. Thomas Lomonte, D.D.S. of Stafford, “you need to reach out to the young people in your community. Helping them shape their character helps shape a positive future. That’s why I love the Fort Bend Optimist Club. I truly believe in their goal of ‘honoring high school students who are dedicated to helping others, in an effort to make themselves better people and to make the world a better place.’”

This year the Fort Bend Optimist Club is hosting Sugar Land Comedy Night to benefit their programs. This is an evening of stand-up comedy featuring acclaimed comedian, Keith Barany. Keith has performed for 25 years, including TV appearances and nine visits to our troops overseas. He was a writer for Seinfeld, Jimmy Kimmel and the Emmys. He’s performed in concert with John Stewart, Jerry Seinfeld, Joan Rivers, Ray Romano, Bob Hope, Joy Behar, Lewis Black and Ray Charles. The NY Post called Keith Barany “the wittiest comedian working.”

This event will also honor Sugar Land’s own Jacquie Baly for her continued service and value to Sugar Land and Fort Bend County. Jacquie is a former Sugar Land City Councilwoman, current political analyst for Fox 26 (KRIV), KTRH/AM740 and various television and radio stations. She’s a member of Governor Abbott’s University Research Initiative Board, President of BalyProjects, instructor of public policy at the University of Houston, and an active philanthropist in and around Houston and Fort Bend. The headline show will be preceded by a lighthearted “roast” of our honoree by Fort Bend County Sheriff Troy Nehls.

Don’t miss this unique, entertaining and fun event!
