The Fourth Annual American Cancer Society “Couture for the Cause” will be held on October 12th at a Tuscan-inspired private home in Sugar Land. Cari Middaugh, the 2013 Event Chair says, “Our theme is ‘La Dolce Vita’, the ‘Sweet Life.’ We hope to raise awareness and resources so that together we can create a world with more birthdays, one sweet life at a time.”

“The featured couture will be showcased by models whose lives have been touched by cancer,” Cari says. “Empire Faces will be doing their makeup and Milagro Salons will be perfecting their hair. Cure and Co., a cancer-wellness boutique and studio spa owned by mother/daughter breast cancer survivors Sasha Klein and Irma Klink, will be pampering our ‘Couture’ models. Best of all, a portion of the funds will support the American Cancer Society’s Hope Lodge Houston, a free home away from home where cancer patients undergoing treatment and their families can stay.”

Did you know…. No single nongovernmental, not-for-profit organization in the US has invested more to find the causes and cures of cancer than the American Cancer Society.
