For the first time in 33 years, Exchange Club of Sugar Land will not be hosting its annual Spaghetti Dinner. President Paul Barnett says, “There are just too many unknowns with trying to plan an event this large. So what we are doing for 2020 is continuing the fundraiser as a virtual event. On October 24th, we will be livestreaming our auctions and announcing our raffle winner on our Facebook page. This year’s raffle prize is Dinner for a Year. It’s a $50 gift card every week of the year to a local restaurant. In the past, all of our prizes have been donated. This year, we’ll be purchasing the gift cards from local restaurants. Our restaurants have been hit hard by the pandemic, and we want to support them. Then, as always, the proceeds of the raffle tickets go toward supporting local charities and programs.”
