What’s the secret to a happy smile? Good oral hygiene habits and regular dental visits? Of course. But one dentist takes it a step further. For her, it’s not just about educating…it’s also about CELEBRATING. “We have a blast all year and make sure kids and parents feel appreciated every time they visit Little Peoples’ Dentistry,” says Dr. Sanchez,“but we especially look forward to February.”

Every February for the past six years, Dr. Bianca Sanchez of Little Peoples’ Dentistry has celebrated the American Dental Association (ADA)’s National Children’s Dental Health Month with her famous Patient Appreciation Party. She uses it as a fun way to educate children on the importance of oral health while at the same time letting them know how much they mean to her. Beyond rocking party must-haves like snacks, drinks, a Balloon Artist and a Face Painter, Dr. Sanchez offers a “swag bag” filled with goodies of the non-sugary variety (stickers, bubbles, modeling clay, coloring books and of course, toothbrush, toothpaste and flossers). There’s also a Fun Foto shoot where kiddos get to wear boas and silly glasses.

“I love to get dressed up as the Tooth Fairy and celebrate my patients. I’ve learned so much from them. This practice is what it is today because of them!” says Dr. Sanchez. And the picture of her party guests is proudly displayed in the office all year as an extra-special “Thank You” from Dr. Sanchez to all her Little People. She says, “I love all of my little munchkins. I’m so honored that I play such an integral part in putting beautiful smiles on their faces! Whether I’m brushing Diego and Gemma’s teeth at home or giving one of my patients a professional cleaning…I love adding more beautiful smiles to the world!”

Dr. Sanchez says, “I wish we had room to squeeze everyone in…but we strive to appreciate all our patients through coloring contests, prize drawings, and dental hygiene high-jinks all year long!”
