In Texas everything is bigger and the story of how a beautiful young intern in Internal Medicine from Mexico City ended up with a guy from Kentucky after a chance meeting in Methodist Cafeteria could not have been a bigger coincidence…and so here our beautiful story began. Fast forward over 15 years and today that couple are active in the Sugar Land community, raising two amazing sons, and working to establish the “go-to place” for every cosmetic need by building a amazing center in the heart of Sugar Land called Sugar Land Face & Body Plastic Surgery. Dr. Eric Humble, a board certified Plastic Surgeon, says, “I still thank God daily that Dr. Lin Humble is my wife, partner and mother of my children. During the workday we’re so busy, we hardly have a chance to see each other…but at home we rejoice in our shared vision for the future and the love we share with each other and our family.”

“During my residency in Head and Neck Surgery, I was fortunate to be mentored by a famous plastic surgeon, Dr. James Carraway who told me after the first time I operated with him that he was going to turn me into a Plastic Surgeon. Because of him and his vision for me, I went on to complete a second residency in Plastic Surgery. He taught me that patients that have facelifts live an extra seven years. At first this concept did not seem valid, because I did not understand the role of self confidence in one’s life. This was confirmed after I performed my first facelift during residency. My patient found renewed love of life, began working out, and making healthy choices. That moment helped me form my philosophy of care: every patient should walk out of our office feeling confident…because confidence changes lives!”

Dr. Humble’s patients also have a good chance of seeing him and his family around town. In addition to playing Minecraft and working hard at school, Lin and Eric’s sons, seven-year-old Kaalan and soon-to-be nine-year-old Talan keep busy winning trophies in Tae Kwon Do, playing golf, baseball, tennis, and (after a Christmas trip to Colorado), skiing. Dr. Humble says, “Lin and I are always running into patients all over Fort Bend…and we’re always happy to see them!”
