This interactive and innovative online event offers recovering persons, their loved ones and the greater community to “walk” using social networks to share eating disorder awareness information and their support for eating disorder recovery. The virtual walk format is open to all regardless of geographic location, medical restrictions or schedule obligations. Participation is as simple, easy and immediate.

Blue Willow Books was on location with all of featured author’s books and enjoyed a brisk business as guests purchased books from the featured authors. Guests were able to mix and mingle with these wonderful authors before and after hearing them speak. The attendees were quite moved listening to Paulette Jiles and Julia Heaberlin tell their stories. Kathy Duval, Betty Verdino and Nathan Barber were wonderful additions to this year’s author roster and added a nice local touch to the evening.

Making A Mark is open to children from all pediatric cancer treatment centers free of charge each year, and has attracted art and writing submissions from around the world. To highlight Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, Texas Children's Cancer Center and Hematology Centers and The Periwinkle Foundation have proudly displayed more than 200 entries each year since the first exhibit in September 1991. Past exhibits have been shown in Japan, Washington, D.C., Virginia, North Carolina, and numerous cities throughout the state of Texas.
This family oriented dinner includes a live and silent auction, live entertainment and a kid's area with games & prizes. Local law enforcement agencies and fire departments prepare a variety of spaghetti sauces hoping to win the cook-off trophy. Eclipse Soccer Club is kicking off Autism Awareness Month in style. The Club, which has over 2200 Recreational and Select players ages 4-18, will sell specially-designed t-shirts to raise awareness and benefit Fort Bend families living with the challenges of autism. Players will sport their shirts at practices and training sessions for the entire month of April to show their support. All proceeds from the sales of t-shirts benefit Hope for Three.
