“In the last few years, the demand for electric vehicles (EVs) has grown tremendously,” says Robert Valdez, Classic Chevrolet Sugar Land’s EV specialist. “So we have them ready, in stock, for our customers now. Our dealership offers three models of fully electric vehicles – the Equinox, the Blazer, and the popular Silverado – all available in different trim levels. We even have a hybrid Corvette for our sports car fans.”
 
“EVs are generally best for drivers whose commute is less than 100 miles a day, and they live in a house where they can install their charger,” Robert says. “But there are so many benefits you get with an EV.”
“Imagine having a car where no oil changes are required, and you don’t have to pay for gas every week. That’s a lot of financial savings. When you choose an EV Silverado, you get actual trunk space too. “The trunk is called a frunk. There’s no engine so the compartment in front of your vehicle becomes a trunk,” Robert continues.
An EV is powered by an electric motor that draws electricity from a battery and is charged from an external source. There are three ways to charge your Classic Chevrolet EV. Level 1 provides charging through a common residential outlet. It’s slower, but can work with what you already have in your garage. Level 2 is a 240 volt electrical AC outlet, which is just like a clothes dryer prong, and can easily be installed at your home. A Level 3 charger is a high-voltage, direct current (DC) charging station that’s the fastest way to charge your EV.
 
“All three of our EVs come with Level 1 and Level 2 chargers, so it’s like you have your gas station in your garage every night,” Robert explains. “Different trim levels are available too. For example, The Blazer comes in LT and RS trim levels, and soon, we’ll offer the SS Sport edition, with 595 horsepower and 645 torque.”
