With a house full of girls – twins Niehvae and Jyhvae, 15, five-year-old Bliss, and two-year-old Bailey – Brittany and Darrel have their hands full. But they make time to ensure their girls’ teeth are strong and healthy.
“There are a lot of pediatric dentists out there, but when I went into the Grand Parkway Pediatric Dental office, it changed my whole perspective of how dental visits should be for young kids,” Brittany says. “We just wanted to be sure our girls were comfortable. But it’s also a fun, kid-friendly place to go.”
Dr. Faisal Khan, founder and owner of Grand Parkway Pediatric Dental, is known for his gentle touch and his ability to build a great rapport with even his littlest patients … and their parents. “Dr. Khan is very knowledgeable and was very reassuring that I was making the best choices for my girls,” Brittany continues. “I had a million questions. I needed every single detail. Dr. Khan and his team patiently answered every question with no frustration.”
Brittany and Darrel were very anxious when they had to take their youngest, Bailey, in to have some baby teeth pulled. It required that the two-year-old be sedated. “Seeing our little girl sedated had us both in tears,” Brittany explains. “The whole office came to our rescue. They were so patient and understanding and told me, ‘Mom, we’re going to get through this together.’ One of the staff sat with me for half of the time because she saw I was very nervous. She explained she went through the same thing with her child and Dr. Khan took great care of them all. Sharing her own experience with us really calmed us.”
“The procedure went smoothly and they kept me up to date, every step of the way,” Brittany adds. “And the most important thing, Bailey was comfortable with the office and staff.”
Having three kids of his own makes Dr. Khan even more understanding of children’s needs. “Kids are my whole life,” he says. “My own kids, Zayna, Hamza, and Eisa, visit the office all the time. They love talking to the employees, and they help out by making goody bags and shredding papers!”
Dr. Priyanshi Ritwik, Dr. Annie Zheng, Dr. Khadija Khan, an oral surgeon, and an anesthesiologist round out the dental staff, providing all aspects of pediatric dentistry, special needs dentistry, and minor orthodontics.
“It was such a great experience, I’ve already recommended Dr. Khan to my best friend. She and her kids love it there too!” Brittany concludes.
