Is a Big Wave Heading Your Way?

The Houston area has sure been through some sloshy conditions lately...setting floodwater records that the state is not likely to see again for quite a while. In the heroic style that is typical of most Texans, we witnessed daring water rescues, barbecue parties on rooftops, heart-warming stories of recovered pets, and of course neighbors doing damage control for other neighbors. Texas has proven once again that it can weather a crisis.

“I wish I could take the machines home with me!”

That’s what Geraldine Doerr, a local patient of Dr. Steve Harris, told us about the chiropractic treatment she receives at Sugar Land Health Center. “I had chronic back pain for a long time,” says Geraldine, “and at times I was even bedridden. My MD did an MRI and he was not alarmed at the results. He said a lot of people have back pain, so I thought it was just something I would have to live with for the rest of my life.”

Taking Your Audi Experienceinto Second Gear

That’s Dustin Kime’s job! He’s the Audi Technologist at Audi Central Houston. Dustin says,“Audis are exceptional cars…they are born from intelligence and engineering. All of our associates are experts in the cars we sell, and they will certainly teach you about the technology associated with your new car at delivery. We call that ‘First Gear.’ During that phase, there’s so much excitement about buying a car that you focus on the big things. But once you settle in, we invite you to our ‘Second Gear’ or second delivery service. That’s what I do!”

Fort Bend County and Hope For Three Help to Comfort Kids in Crisis

With great effort from Hope For Three’s volunteer, Mare Solcher (Right) and Deputy Nick Kaminski of the Fort Bend County Precinct 1 Constables Office (Left), Hope For Three is helping to make things bearable for children in crisis. Solcher, who chairs the project, recently presented homemade blankets, entertaining toys, and soft comforting bears to Precinct 1 Constables Office. Deputy Kaminski, who is a certified Mental Health Peace Officer stated, “Often times when arriving on a chaotic scene where children are involved, having a cuddly bear or some type of toy on hand, brings comfort to the child”.

If You Can Dream It, We Can Make It

When former U.S. Marine Clint Bollinger wanted a firepit, he used a plasma cutter and an old tractor rim to create one, complete with decorative cut-outs. Encouraged, he experimented and refined his process, making firepits and other products with raw steel and a CNC machine. But Clint isn’t the kind of guy who settles for doing the same thing over and over. Today he offers dozens of innovative, personalized steel pieces like you’ve never even imagined!

Giving Back to the Community – Couture for the Cause

As a successful business grateful to our Fort Bend county communities, Milagro Salons (pronounced Me-la-gro) takes it’s name from the Spanish word for Miracle, and that’s exactly what they strive to do in and out of the salon.
