Thirteen year veteran, SSG Charles R. Landry, Jr. experienced 39 months of active combat. Among other things, his tour of duty included numerous firefights, vehicle borne IEDs, friendly and enemy casualities, and rocket attacks. The trauma Landry endured through his deployments had a significant impact on his behavior. After seeking out help, Landry was diagnosed with post traumatic stress disorder, major depressive disorder, and traumatic brain disorder.
